Holy Church of Zoodochos Pigi, Nea Trapezounta

The residents of Nea Trapezounta (New Trebizond) are all refugees from Pontos, hence the village name. They speak the Ofitic Pontic dialect.

In the village there is also the Church of Zoodochos Pigi and the chapel of Agios Evgenios of Trapezounta (St. Eugene of Trebizond), where the relics of the Saint are celebrated on 17 October.
