Ancient Quarry Ritini

Starting from Vria and following a difficult route, the visitor reaches the beginning of the footpath towards the Ancient Resin Quarry. The 800m long footpath leads to a part of the mountain that consists entirely of marble. There are huge rectangular and cylindrical pieces of marble that may have been used for the construction of the Erechtheion temple on the Acropolis of Athens.
