Civil School of Katerini

“Astiki Scholi Katerinis” (Civil School of Katerini) (Former 1st Primary School of Katerini) is at Irini Str. A remarkable example of neoclassical architecture – a work of art built in 1905. It was the 1st Primary School of Katerini until 1979 when by decision of the Ministry of Culture it was characterized as a work of art wearthy of “special protection”. Inside there is hosted a permanent exhibition of sculptures made by the famous sculptor Efthymios Kalevras from Katacha village of Pieria.
